Whooping cough (also known as ‘pertussis’) cases are on the rise in Victoria, a disease that is particularly dangerous for babies under 6 months of age.
Vaccination is available and strongly encouraged, especially for women during their third trimester of pregnancy, to protect their babies until the infant is able to have its own vaccine.
